J instead of I

A broken image - artefact,
I follow with my eye,
Unwanted outcome, a mistake,
An error of a try.

I think again, what could it be,
The shader, the technique?
Or maybe change in cpp,
Perhaps the matrix is oblique!?

Or maybe drivers are at fault,
You know those driver guys,
But such a thought is last resort,
I facepalm, rub my eyes.

I look again, it has to work,
I comment bits around,
I try again, I trace, debug,
In search for stable ground.

And then I see it, pesky “i”,
Where “j” I meant to write,
A stupid typo, found it, sigh,
I fix it, run it, is it right?

Frame rate

What is this frame if full of care,
we have to time - we see some tear?

No time to make the shaders match,
we have to suffer shader patch.

No time to see if render thread,
is setup bound or badly fed.

No time to see if load-hit-stores,
are wasting time on all six cores.

No time to wait on L2 cache,
and sort redundant data trash.

No time to clean the math code bloat,
and stop converting ints to float.

A poor frame this if full of care,
we have no time - we see some tear.
